Summer So Far

 
How can my summer be half over?  I haven't even blogged.  It has been a good, relaxing, productive, fun summer so far....

Let's see this is what we have been up to....

Last home fellowship (there was one after this one....but we were not there!)




I've been sorting books for my classroom library...and putting stickers in them to keep them organized by type and so that the kids will be able to put them back where they belong.  Great idea from Kindercraze blog.


We got a new rug for the den that is super soft! 
 


 

We got new furniture for the den that is so nice! 
 



I got my favorite old chair recovered.  I love it and it is MAMA'S CHAIR! 


We've gone to sewing circles.....Lydia made the cute button hair bow with her friends at sewing circle!  Thank you Mrs. Upshaw!!!


We've had our end of year Co-op picnic.  Bittersweet!
 




We've played in the backyard....basketball....tether ball....plays.....cheer leading shows.....gone for walks in the neighborhood.

 
 
Planted a garden!


Gotten haircuts...


Snuggled....


We've hung out at the pool.


Gone to camp....

Had piano lessons....




Received gifts of bounty from sweet friends....farm fresh eggs, honey right from the hive....homemade jam....oh....Julia Curl is a treasure!
 
 


Made homemade bread.  Thank you for the recipe Missy Fox....


Had Randy's peach tea...YUM!



Grown...


Hanging out with friends...


Gone to VBS....and oh my goodness....LOVED IT!  We've had a house full of spies all week long!  This is "Agent Black Jack"!

It's been a good summer.  Going too quickly......

Deals for the Week!



So this week I've stumbled into some good deals.....

My Farmer's Market Loot.....I spent a lot more this week ($40) but I got a lot more too!
2 big watermelons, 3 mango's, Big Bag of Spring Mix.  3 bags of Snap peas, 3 pineapples, 3 bunches of Bananas, tons of peaches, strawberries, apples, red peppers, and zucchini.  
YUMMY!

My other good deal this week was stumbling upon The Dollar Book Exchange.  Every book is $1 and children's books are $10 for a grocery bag.  I filled two!!!!  Here are my books.....





I got lots of books for my classroom library!



Lydia and Audrey went along with me.
 



 The girls picked some out for themselves today too.


 Now  to sort and level them all!!!

So awesome!!! They open the first weekend of every month!  It's in Raleigh and it gets crowded and parking is an issue.....but I SCORED big time!!!!  I will definitely go back.
