Lydia and Audrey both take dance at Nina's.
This is Audrey's second year and Lydia's third year.
They REALLY enjoy dancing!
I took about 10 pictures of them with Nina....BUT they were all fuzzy except this one!
Glad at least one turned out!
I MUST learn to work my camera!!!!
The recital was adorable!
Nina did a fantastic job....very professional!
Their teacher has been Mrs. Nikki each year.
She is so sweet. So patient. So encouraging!
This years recital theme was a hit with all the girl:
The Enchanted Wedding 2013
The First scene took place in The Enchanted Castle Garden.
Lydia danced her ballet: The Princess Tea
Audrey danced her ballet: Flowers Growing.
This was my favorite dance of Audrey's.
and Audrey preformed her tap dance: Red Robin
Then the story moved to The Castle Bedroom and Lydia danced her lyrical: Godmother's Heirlooms.
This was my favorite dance of Lydia's.
Next the scene changed to The Mee Wee Village where Lydia's class performed their tap dance at
"The Market"
I didn't get a picture of her in her tap outfit!!!!
It was black pirate skirt with a black leotard. All the girls had blue handkerchiefs tied around their heads like peasants. They each had different colored collared shirts with the cuffs rolled up and tied at the waist.
It was a very cute dance!
Lydia got really into it!
Then it was time for the Wedding Party in Agrabar scene:
Which included Lydia's (and Gracie) classes jazz dance: Fun Princess.
This was Lydia's favorite dance.
and Audrey's class did their jazz dance: Dance Again Princess
(Skyler and Candace)
This was Audrey's favorite dance.
It was a long week of rehearsals and late dinners and later bedtimes.
They enjoyed all their time with their cousin too
(Tricia Lynn)
The girls were tired and so was Mommy!
However it was also a fun week. Filled with friends. Relationships. Performances. Costumes. Makeup. Glitter. Special treats. Fast Food....
Mrs. Nina surprised all the girls with a princess crown and dance medal!
Thank you Mrs. Nina!
They are already talking about dance camp and hoping certain friends will be in their classes next year!
Our costume bin has been nicely restocked and the girls have been having fun playing dress up all day!
YEAH!!!!
The recital weekend marks the end of our school year and school schedule and the beginning of our summer break. So today has been a relaxing day. We are celebrating Randy's birthday!!!! 38 years old!!!
AND we are kicking off our summer!
Oh, Happy Day!
