What a Week!
One exciting discovery this week was a healthy breakfast option for Audrey.
She doesn't like many healthy foods so I was delighted to discover that she liked smoothies!
So almost everyday this week she had a strawberry, bananas, Greek Yogurt, and stevia smoothie. She LOVES them!
Yeah!!!!
One of our summer camp kids, Knox, started coming this week.
All the kids enjoyed having a new face in the crowd!
They played cross the creek, a game the kids learned last summer at my brothers gym.
Stella is still coming two half mornings a week!
Such a sweet girl!
Monday we enjoyed celebrating Memorial Day at Mama's.
Granny and Papa were there of course.
Mama also invited her new neighbors and Stacy invited a friend of hers from church and the gym. It was fun to meet some new people but poor Jack was MISERABLE!
He had a very rough week.
He had a terrible sunburn from earlier in the weekend that blistered up AND he had a HUGE bruise on top of the sunburn where one of his buddies had evidently jumped off a bed onto his back...and had shoes on....OUCH!
He was a mess!
It was so sad.
So Jack and I ended up spending a good deal of the party nursing his wounds!
The rest of the week was spent with a lot of dancing.
They had rehearsals Tuesday-Friday.
And lots of swimming.
Our newest baby orca's!
They did a great job at their first swim meet!!!!
It was an EARLY Saturday morning.....
after a LATE Friday night!
Jackson REALLY enjoyed the meet and being a part of a team!
Sophie REALLY enjoyed hanging out with some of her favorite girls!
She was super nervous about the flip turn but once it was over she was okay!
Lydia was COLD but happy!
Andrew enjoyed the meet because he ended up getting 3 heat winner ribbons....I bet he'll be in a different heat next time....but he sure did like collecting his ribbons!
Then of course Saturday and Sunday we had the Dance Recital!
Lydia-Motorcycles
Audrey-The Magic House
Lydia's Class-Little Bo Peep
Audrey and Emma-Rabbits
Audrey-Win a Snake
Lydia-Popcorn Pop
Happy, Tired, Girls....
YUMMY!
We also celebrated Randy's Birthday with the Family on Sunday night!
He requested Chipwiches (thanks Linda Reyner) for dessert so I did that in lieu of a cake!
It was nice to sit and to talk and to enjoy family!
Happy Birthday Randy!
After a week and weekend like this......
(we also went to church Sunday morning and ran Sophie to a birthday party in the midst of Saturday....I know we are CrAzY....but we did say no to 2 other birthday invitations....so we are getting better!)
Whew....so....
This is our Monday!
and Audrey says....
"Mama I'm kinda sad."
Startled, I asked, "WHY???"
She replied, "I'm really going to miss dance."
WHAT????
REALLY????
It's only been a few hours....and I was just starting my Happy Dance for surviving recital week!
They really did have fun....and I really am flat worn out!
So I'm blogging. The oldest 2 are still asleep. Lincoln is going down for his nap. The little girls are playing dance recital and Jackson is shooting them!
Ahhh....I'm going to bed EARLY tonight!
Love,
Kim
